RULES & GUIDELINES (STATE & NON- STATE)
STATE CONTESTANTS: 5-7 Boys and Girls Must be 5 yrs. old by JUNE 30, 2008 Cannot turn 8 yrs old before JUNE 30, 2008
Compete in Formal wear/ Sunday best Boy and Girl will compete as a team at State Competition. If no boy winner from Rowan County, queen will be responsible for finding her own partner for state. 10-12 Girls Must be 10 yrs old by JULY 1, 2008 Cannot turn 13 before OCTOBER 31, 2008
Compete in Formal Wear/ Sunday Best,Will introduce herself on stage. 13-15 Girls Must be 13 yrs old by OCTOBER 31, 2008 Cannot turn 16 before OCTOBER 31, 2008 Compete in Sportswear and Formal Wear 1 On-Stage Interview Question Question list will be given out at 10:30 AM on pageant date Queen must compete in Interview at State Pageant 16-21 Girls Must be 16 yrs old by OCTOBER 31, 2008 Cannot turn 22 before OCTOBER 31, 2008 Compete in Swimwear and Formal Wear 1 On-Stage Interview Question Question list will be given out at 10:30 AM on pageant date Queen must compete in Interview at State Pageant

SUPREME PACKAGE *Includes awarding the following optionals in each age division: Prettiest Hair Prettiest Eyes Prettiest Smile Best Personality Most Photogenic Hi-Point Queens
HI-POINT QUEENS will be crowned in the following age divisions: 0-23 mo. 2-3 yrs. 4-9 yrs.
*Hi-Point Queen has the highest facial beauty score between the age groups. The Queen in each age division is not eligible to receive the Hi-Point Award.
SUPREME QUEENS will be crowned in the following age divisions: 0-23 mos. 2-3 yrs. 4-9 yrs.
*Supreme Queens have the highest overall scores (including all optionals) between the age divisions. Queens in each age group are eligible to receive Supreme Awards.
